Excitement is hitting fever pitch levels as Novira Cymru Premier Football comes to Ammanford for the very first time tonight. We look forward to welcoming as many of you as we can to the Recreation Ground this evening. If you are travelling from North Wales, we hope you have a safe and pleasant journey to and from the ground.
As we look ahead to our home debut in the top flight, here is some crucial information for supporters ahead of this momentous occasion.
Match Details
We take on Colwyn Bay with a kick off time of 7:45pm. The Seagulls are one of the best supported teams in the league and are led by the former legendary Cymru Premier striker Mike Wilde. They finished 5th in last season’s top flight.
Match entry
Gates open at 6pm and we encourage supporters to come down early to avoid the queues ahead of kick off and to soak up the atmosphere in the new fanzone and in the Recreation Ground. Entry is priced at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions with under 16’s being admitted for just £1.
Season Ticket Holders
Season tickets are valid for the game. If you have purchased season tickets and not yet received or collected your cards, then notify the staff on the gate who will be able to give you your card upon arrival.
Food & Refreshments
The Jac Lewis Foundation Building will be open serving hot drinks, soft drinks, snacks, hot dogs and confectionery. The fanzone will be open serving a range of alcoholic beverages including wines, beers, ciders, spirits and stout.
Fanzone The fanzone will open at 6pm and will be serving until 9pm. There is a strict challenge 25 policy in operation. Sadly, all alcohol purchased inside the fanzone must stay inside that area. This is due to licensing and the league wide initiative in the Novira Cymru Premier whereby no alcohol can be consumed in view of the field of play.
Programmes & ticket stubs
A limited number of print programmes have been published for this season. They are on sale for £2. Commemorative ticket stubs from the game are also available to purchase inside the Jac Lewis Foundation building and are priced at £1.
Merchandise
We have a selection of both home and away replica jerseys on sale inside the Jac Lewis Foundation shop on Friday night. We also have a range of souvenirs such as pin badges, coasters and coffee mugs on sale too.
VAR Light
VAR will be deployed by League officials as standard in the Novira Cymru Premier this season. It will be deployed to review key match-changing incidents, including goals, penalty-area decisions, straight red cards, incorrect second yellow cards, and cases of mistaken identity. However, VAR Light cannot intervene in yellow-card decisions, match restarts, tight offside or goal-line calls requiring additional technology, or incidents where clear video evidence is unavailable. There will be minor delays to restarts following goals as every goal will be checked.
Pitch
This has been one of the driest summers on record and a huge thanks must go to our ground staff for producing a good pitch once again. However, due to league regulations, unfortunately no spectators of any age will be permitted onto the field of play at any point. This includes at half time and at full time.
Assistance
Please see any steward around the ground for further assistance. They will be wearing yellow high-visibility vests and will be happy to assist or point in the direction of anyone that can help further.
